Food, music, and cultures from around the world will be presented at Brookdale’s April 8 International Festival. Organized by the International Student Association, International Education Center, and Student Life and Activities, the online event will display an outlet for students to experience other cultures and showcase their talents.

The festival will feature activities celebrating culture and international connections by students and clubs, including cultural presentations, food from all over the world, different music, and dances.

“Favorite destinations to travel” will be the main topic of the presentations during the festival, as decided by ISA students.

“We organize the International Festival every year, giving the chance to our students to get to know different cultures. It is challenging this year following the COVID-19 restrictions. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the event will be held virtually. But even through Zoom, we guarantee everyone a lot of fun and an interesting experience,” said Lucy Wadych-Ketley, an ISA club adviser.

The International Student Association is a club that welcomes all Brookdale students to join. This diverse group of people represents various nationalities and cultures. Its goals are to exchange different cultural background, develop friendships, provide support to each other, and engage in outside activities.

Brookdale Community College is home to over 130 international students from more than 45 countries, including Bulgaria, Brazil, China, Germany, and many others.
