ROVING REPORTER: Do you like it when a television show or a film has a storyline related to the COVID-19 pandemic?

“For me personally, I would not like it. Having had COVID and losing a family member to it, with also losing the end of my high school career and most of college, I just think we need distractions and to not be consistently reminded of it. Like I get the concept of having a relatable story with characters that you can sympathize with, but I feel like there are so many other ways to do that without consistently bringing up something we’re constantly going through on the daily anyway,” said Kimberly Lopez, a 19-year-old psychology major from Matawan.

“I definitely would enjoy it. It has to be made educational, and they should include other things that happened during the pandemic. They can’t exaggerate things. I think people would get upset about it, so it has to be specific,” said Anna Ucal, a 19-year-old special education major from Ocean.

“I would say yes, I would watch it, but I think it depends when, how soon and the context. I do also see the point where people don’t want to watch. I think it really depends on the tone of it too,” said Shane Russo, a 24-year-old media studies major from Wall.

“No. I think I have too much already. I would like to hear something else. I think we heard enough about this, and we are ready to move on,” said Jose Macias, a 34-year-old journalism major from Manasquan.

“Yeah, that would be nice. It would show how it’s still connected to the real world,” said Mark Buerck, a 19-year-old undecided major from Wall.
