The Best Defense in the League strikes another victory again, The Jags bounced back after blowout against the San Franciso 49ers, and The Great Superbowl Match against Eagles and Chiefs
The Top Three Team Performances of Week 11
Here are the top three performances in the NFL’s Week 11.
The best defense in the league struck another victory, the Jacksonville Jaguars bounced back after a blowout against the San Francisco 49ers, and then, there was the Super Bowl rematch against Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.
It can always be a rough start for newcomers. Newcomers are often seated beside the sidelines of the field and never given a chance to play in the regular season. However, it was a shining moment for the Browns’ rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson Robinson. His late performance rallied the Browns to a last second 13-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Even though his stats weren’t great, he still managed to pull out a victory.
In this week’s matchup against the Tennesse Titans, it was now or never for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars were humiliated by the 49ers in Week 10. But they decided to bounce back from the embarrassing loss with a 34-14 win against the AFC South rival Titans. Lawrence accounted for four touchdowns, including two perfectly thrown passes to Calvin Ridley. He also completed 24 of 32 passes for 262 yards, finishing with the fourth-best passer rating (119.5) of his career after the third-lowest outing against the 49ers. The Jaguars followed their worst loss of the season with a 34-14 drubbing of the Titans on Sunday.
On Feb. 12, the Kansas City Chiefs beat the NFC Champions Philadelphia Eagles with the box score of 38 – 35. Nine months later, the Eagles swore revenge from this memorable moment. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs put up a good fight, but Jalen Hurts and the Eagles took the win instead.
Hurts led a second-half rally as the Eagles beat the Chiefs 21-17 in the Super Bowl rematch. The Eagles became the first team to win at least nine of their first 10 games in consecutive seasons since the Indianapolis Colts in 2005-06, and they did it by beating former coach Andy Reid for the first time in five tries since he landed in Kansas City.
