Students at universities want to meet people, get their degree and have some fun. Brookdale strives to give students the opportunity to do all of these things as well, offering multiple events, classes and clubs to meet each student’s needs. Brookdale’s wide variety of events and activities include free gym use hours, sports, e-sports and much more.
Coming up Wednesday is an event some students look forward to each month. Brookdale Bingo, held in the Collins Arena, is free with a valid Brookdale ID and features free food and prizes.
“ I won a waffle maker at bingo last semester,” said BCC student Chloe Carbone. “It was really fun.”
Brookdale Bingo first started during Covid-19 to bring students together through such a difficult time to give students some spirit and hope to meet new people, even while social distancing. It’s continued without social distancing because students continue to enjoy the program.
“My friend told me about the event, so I decided to give it a try,” Carbone said, explaining how she heard about the event. “When I went there were over 100 people.”
