“I start studying a month before the date of my final because I think I remember more over time,” said Grace Kemp, a 20-year-old law major of Hazlet.
The semester’s end is quickly approaching with finals creeping behind. Students are actively preparing for the spring’s ultimate exams.
“It depends on the dates. I have two finals but on separate days, so I’m going to focus on the first one. After I take it, I’ll study for my last,” said Greg Santiago, a 22-year-old history major of Red Bank.
Students use various techniques to ensure they will score well and pass all classes.
“What works best for me is going to different places to study. My favorite places are libraries or getting food and sitting down to eat and study at the same time,” said 20-year-old Bridget McCann from Middletown.
“I make myself review study guides at least an hour a day leading up to the day of my test. It helps me actually sit down to review the lectures and recite everything over and over,” said Kristen Cassidy, a 19-year-old nursing major from Middletown.
Finals season is undoubtedly stress-inducing, but preparation will aid your testing. Be sure to remember these exams indicate the beginning of summer break.
