On Sunday Feb. 4, millions of people from all around the world will gather to watch the Super Bowl. Or, at least half those people will actually watch the big game.

There are three reasons why people get together for the Super Bowl. First, there are people who actually enjoy watching the game. Then, there are those who want to watch the halftime show and care about betting. And finally, those who show up for good food. The key for a really good Super Bowl party is to have good food.

The food for the Super Bowl has always been one of the better things about the actual day, besides the game itself of course. There are a few must-haves for a party when watching the game.

Chips and dip. This is the classic snack or appetizer, which nearly everyone enjoys. There are so many different kinds of chips out there and so many different variations of dips. Some delicious dips that can be made in less than 10 minutes include, French onion, spinach, buffalo chicken, street corn and homemade guacamole. To ensure success, have a good spread out before or during the game. This gives you something for everybody.

Some other good choices to have during the game are chicken wings, barbecue, sandwiches, or if you are feeling a bit lazy that day, ordering some pizzas is not the worst idea.

Let’s talk about chicken wings. Wings are a great choice for game day because of two reasons. First, everyone likes chicken, even the kids, who often eat nothing, like chicken. And two, there is so much versatility with wings. They can be any flavor that is desired, dry rub, saucy, plain, etc.

Barbecue includes pulled pork, brisket, ribs, chicken and more. Sides include mac and cheese, baked beans, potatoes, coleslaw, etc. Again, there are so many different routes that can be taken when it comes to barbecue.

Sandwiches are, yet again, another great choice to have when hosting or visiting people for the big game. Whether it’s classic Italian, roast beef or turkey sandwiches. Or maybe it’s pulled pork sandwiches for Kansas City fans and, of course, cheesesteaks for Philadelphia fans.

When it comes to this Sunday, so many people from around the world will be at parties for the game. Not everyone enjoys watching the game. Not everyone enjoys the halftime show. Not everyone likes to bet on the million different things you can bet on Super Bowl Sunday. However, there is one thing that everyone does indeed like, and that is food.
