“If you want to become a musician, make connections with people, start a band, chill out and listen to good music, and talk with people who are passionate about music, this is the place for you.”
This is what Chris Wilson, a 19-year-old communications in video major from Ocean Township, had to say about the Music Club at Brookdale.
Joseph Characola, a 19-year-old audio tech major from Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, gave more reasons as to why students should join.
“There’s a lot of good people here, especially if you’re into music as a career or hobby in any fashion. People can help you with recording or whatever you need to do,” he said.
So far during the spring semester, the club held an album listening party. Although, this wasn’t the only option for attendees of the club on that day. “In the next room, we were playing music,” Characola said.
“Every month or so, we listen to an album. We do jam sessions. We make music sometimes,” Wilson said. “It’s a fun way to get to know other musicians.”
The Music Club meets 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays in ATC 015. “I think people should consider joining Music Club especially if they’re interested in playing any instrument or if they just like listening to music,” Characola said.
