Davis Bush, the StreamWatch Schools Coordinator for the Watershed Institute will be the featured speaker at Science Mondays 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, in the Twin Lights rooms, lower level of the Student Life Center.
The program is free and open to students and the community, and refreshments will be served.
Attendees will learn how they can help keep N.J.’s streams and rivers healthy by participating in a statewide water quality monitoring program called StreamWatch Schools.
Bush will describe the importance of the program and provide details on how to collect water samples, test water quality, submit data and access data submitted by others. He will also discuss how, through land conservation, green infrastructure, and the use of native plants, state residents can help protect streams from pollution and stormwater runoff.
