This Weekend Determines Who Goes To The Super Bowl

This Weekend Determines Who Goes To The Super Bowl

The NFL playoffs are winding down, and only four out of 32 teams remain. Sunday is the conference championship games, and whichever teams are victorious are going to the Super Bowl.
In the NFC, the San Francisco 49ers host the Detroit Lions; and in the AFC the Baltimore Ravens are hosting the Kansas City Chiefs. The current favorites are the 49ers who lost in the conference title game last season; and the Ravens despite the fact that they are facing the defending Super Bowl Champion Chiefs.
The big story going into the NFC championship game is if the 49ers starting wide receiver Deebo Samuel is going to be able to play as he injured his shoulder in a win against the Green Bay Packers on Saturday.
On the other hand, the Ravens offense is getting a boost from the return of Pro Bowl tight end Mark Andrews. He has not played since Nov. 16, when he cracked his fibula and damaged the ligaments in his right ankle.
Students seem to be looking forward to the games that are going to take place this upcoming Sunday and are making their own predictions.
“I think the Chiefs and 49ers are going to the Super Bowl,” said James Mironvich, a 22-year-old communications major from Manalapn. “It’s hard to ever bet against Patrick Mahomes, and San Francisco just has the best all-around roster in football.”
“I think I’m going with the Lions and Ravens,” said Frank Daddato, a 22-year-old business major from Manalapan. “The Ravens have just been a dominant team all year, and while theNiners are great, I just have a weird gut feeling that the Lions are going to pull it off.”
The students all having different picks seems to be the consensus as this is shaping up to be one of the most unpredictable conference championship weeks we have seen in years.
