Better Studying Trumps More Studying

Better+Studying+Trumps+More+Studying

“I actually do that where I’ll set a timer for an hour or so to study, and once it goes off, I’ll watch a movie or get food,” 21-year-old Mia Vutto from Lincroft said.
Stressed over exams? Need a new strategy to help prepare for finals? Here are a few efficient studying techniques to help retain stellar grades.
Reward yourself after studying for some time. Once you’ve covered enough material, allow yourself a break before returning to study.
“I’ve been doing this for most of my classes, and it helps me get work done, so I don’t procrastinate,” Vutto said.
Play relaxing music to ease any tension. This may allow you to focus and absorb information quicker.
“Sometimes, I listen to my favorite songs when I study or do homework. I think it does help me concentrate because I work better with sound around me,” said 20-year-old education major Jackie Russo from Leonardo.
Studying with friends offers more support as everyone can discuss the material together, and listening to the information repeatedly may help with memorization.
“I talk out loud or recite it to someone, so that I remember what I’m saying, and it’ll be engraved in my brain,” said Lucas Hernandez, an 18-year-old economics major from Middletown.
Preparing for a crucial exam or the ultimate final is evidently stressful, but utilizing these techniques may improve your study sessions.
