Students who want to celebrate their knowledge of Latino culture or maybe just learn more while having a good time may want to head to the Twin Lights rooms, lower levelof the SLC, at 6:30 p.m. Thursday for Latina Jeopardy.
Hosted by Brookdale Society of Latinos, or SOL, and Dreamers Plus, in their first collaboration, the mock game show will offer contestants a chance to finish the phrase or the lyrics, as well as demonstrate their superior command of famous Latina artists facts and trivia.
“Some of the categories from “finish the lyrics”, guess the flag, guess the TV show, etc. There will be a lot of prizes given,” said Jocelyn Fajardo, president of SOL, a 19-year old nursing major from Spring Lake.
There will be two of Jeopardy before a final Kahoot at the end. Students can win many different prizes during the games.
Those who wish to compete can create their own three-member team, name their team and sign up for the game.
