The Innovation Network (TIN) is hosting Friendsgiving 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18, in the Navesink rooms of the SLC.
At the same time, the TIN club will also be hosting a food drive for non-perishable food items to benefitĀ the Nutrition Hub, a food pantry on campus.
Free and open to all students, this event aims to bring individuals together for food, games and a sense of community while also introducing students to the vast variety of clubs that Brookdale offers.
TIN’s public relations team consisting of students Jonathan Lewis, Julia Running, Erika Weston and Faheem Moore, are organizing numerous collaborations with Brookdale’s many clubs.
Each club will have its own table along with a craft or activity to properly represent their group. Many will also be offering a variety of food to share, representing the numerous communities that make up Brookdale.
Actvities will include games, team-bonding exercises and prizes. But mostly, the event promises a chance to relax and get to know other Brookdalians and enjoy some friendly banter.
Among the clubs that will be represented are: Asia Society, Psychology/Human Service, Eurasia, The Current, TIN, ISA, Gaming Club, Society of Latinos, Circle K, Women in Learning and Leadership, Nectar Club, Educational Opportunity Fund Student Alliance, S4GC Club and STEM Club.
Clubs that have not already signed up are encouraged to contact Moore at [email protected]. Individual students and friend groups are urged to mark their calendars and possibly set aside a nonperishable item to donate. (All students are welcome, with or without donations.)
