Hi Everyone! Book recommendations are back!
My first book review of the semester is “Mindset” by Carol S. Dweck.
What is your mindset? Do you have a fixed mindset? Do you believe you have the power to change situations or situations have authority over changing you?
If you are pondering for an answer, here’s some things you should know.
“Mindset” has been an essential within collections due Dweck’s directness and storytelling ability to further address how to break out of a “fixed mindset ” to a growth mindset.
A growth mindset will cultivate dreams into realities. Having a conceptual idea is brilliant but pairing it with actions is the recipe for success.
What are your goals Brookdale students? Whatever your goal, big or small, success starts with how you think about the world and how you think of yourself within it.
This book has allowed to me to take the next steps of my mental growth and succeed past any doubt of failure. As long as you’re capable of thinking it, you have a chance of achieving it.
Rev up your internal engine for change. Positivity is inspiring. Trust me: This book will help you develop the mindset you will need in the classroom and outside of the classroom. It is not that we aren’t capable of learning , it’s actually the mindset of thinking we know enough that sometimes keeps material from resonating with us.
I hope you all pick up this book because all ages and majors can benefit from this book!
