On Oct. 27, Science Mondays will explore the question, “How can environmentalists work toward a coherent vision for adapting to climate change and work to lessen its effects when state and federal actors pursue opposing goals?”
In this free lecture, Rutgers Professor Clinton J. Andrews will review the historical interplay of state and local governments, the federal government, and scientific, technological and social factors. As the associate dean for research at the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public policy discusses how to help citizens adapt to and reduce the rate of human-caused climate change.
Andrews, whose work addresses climate change mitigation and adaptation, will take questions from the audience following his lecture.
Part of the Science Mondays series, the program will take place in the Twin Lights rooms of the SLC, SLC 106/107. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the program beginning at 6:45 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
