Hey, now this is what dreams are made of!
Disney Channel star Hilary Duff is now back making music with her new album “Luck… Or Something” releasing Friday, Feb. 20th.
This marks her fifth studio album not including “Santa Claus Lane,” her Christmas album released in 2003. The singer & actress returns to her roots after a 10-year hiatus with her last solo single being released in 2015 (Sparks) from her last studio album “Breathe In. Breathe Out.” Duff’s Christmas album has been the only studio album of Duff’s not to reach the top 5 of the Billboard 200 Chart.
Tuesday, Feb. 17, marked the presale for the Lucky Me tour which will be Hilary’s first full length tour in 18 years. This tour came after the release of her most recent tour Small Room, Big Nerves. She performed in London, Toronto and various cities in the states. After the massive demand of these dates, six additional dates at the Voltaire in Las Vegas were added. The Lucky Me Tour is set to start in West Palm Beach, Florida, in June and is set to finish in Perth, Australia, in August. Her new album is said to be very personal and have themes of family drama.
In an interview with Glamour, Hilary said, “That’s my family. Those are the people that affect you the most, take up the most space naturally as a human who’s born into something. Just because you’re born into a family doesn’t mean that it always stays together.” Duff’s parents got divorced in 2008, the same year The Dignity Tour was happening.
Hopefully with this album coming out – she and her sister, Haylie, can mend their relationship behind closed doors.
