The Middle States Self-Study Steering Committee is proud to share a major milestone in Brookdale’s journey toward reaccreditation.
The Middle States Commission on Higher Education is Brookdale’s accrediting body that establishes rigorous standards for student learning, services, institutional integrity and stewardship of resources. Accreditation is a mark of educational quality and institutional effectiveness. It enables students to easily transfer credits and receive financial aid.
Over the past 18 months, committees of administrators, faculty, staff, and students have been hard at work evaluating our institution against seven essential accreditation standards.
This collaborative effort has resulted in the creation of our Self-Study Draft. This comprehensive document is more than just a report; it reflects our mission, our collective achievements, and our unwavering commitment to your success as students.
To share what the working groups have discovered and to encourage conversation across campus, a series of Town Hall presentations will be held over the coming weeks. During these sessions, members of the working groups will briefly present findings for each accreditation standard.
Student feedback is an essential part of the process. Your experiences in classrooms, campus services, and student life help paint the most accurate picture of what it’s like to learn and grow at Brookdale. We encourage all students to review the draft and provide their thoughts.
