Brookdale’s Haunted Theater is back!

The popular Halloween event will take place within the walls of the Performing Arts Center on the Lincroft campus and is scheduled to go on rain or shine.

The theater will be haunted from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Fridays through Sundays from Oct. 15 to Oct. 30. Tickets are $20 for the general public and must be purchased in advance. However, students pay just $5.

The Haunted Theatre is a self-guided, indoor walkthrough haunted house maze, lasting about 20 minutes with features that are sure to keep visitors on their toes. This immersive experience includes “mazes, pitch black zones and special effects” and is also to include
no shortage of special and spooky characters including, “zombies, witches, sadistic clowns, dangerous inmates, psychotic doctors and other horrific creatures.”

This year there will not be a children’s tour. The event is recommended for those 8 and older with parental discretion. Those under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Over 100 of Brookdale’s students, faculty, staff and alumni have worked together to create this event after a year on hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Prior to this, the event had an 18-year tradition and is regionally considered as “one of the scariest and
most immersive Halloween attractions in Monmouth County.”
