Leaves Turn Red, And Students Turn To Coffee

Leaves+Turn+Red%2C+And+Students+Turn+To+Coffee

Congratulations on officially making it through half the semester! For that achievement, I think you deserve a coffee.
Here are three more of my favorite spots to grab a drinkity drink while I try to ignore the inescapable sense of dread that grows with every assignment I finish at
11:30 p.m.
The Art of Bean and Leaf
Cozy decorations, warm feelings and some of the best craft coffees can be found at the Art of Bean and Leaf in Asbury Park. Though it’s a little farther than our usual coffee shops, it’s
definitely worth the trip. In my opinion, the fatal flaw of most coffee shops is their lack of decoration. It’s so simple, but the correct colors and some well-placed art pieces can really
change my opinion on where I want to study. Whoever designed the Bean clearly had this in mind. The combination of warm colors and weird decorations makes it an absolutely perfect study spot. On one of these colder days, I’d recommend the Red Velvet Latte – warm and rich, it’s the perfect drink for scrolling on your phone with an open laptop in front of you.

California Cold
For those of us who prefer iced drinks even in the cold, California Cold is the place for you. Located right off Route 9 in the Fashion Center of Manalapan, it’s got a darker vibe than most of my top picks, but I think the
lack of foot traffic makes it a little easier to focus. If you ever pass through, I’d recommend the Cornado – a sweet twist on the Italian cortado that you just can’t miss.

Offshore Coffee
Here’s another costal coffee spot before it gets too cold to even think about the beach. Due to its open floor plan and big windows, Offshore Coffee is one of my favorite places to
get some studying done in the morning, but no matter what time of day it is – Offshore is a quiet and friendly place to hang out. One of my all time favorite drinks to get here is the Thin Mint Latte – which is just as amazing as it sounds – but if you’re not too keen on caffeine, there’s also lots of different breakfast foods to choose from.
